Born in Congo, twelve-year-old Binti and her father Jovial have been living illegally in Belgium for many years. Binti feels like a Belgian and dreams of becoming a popular vlogger, such as her idol Tatyana. Binti also has a video blog and regularly fills it with funny shots of her everyday life, which is suddenly disturbed when once again she and her father have to flee from the police. She discovers a tree house in a forest and hides in it. The tree house belongs to Elias and is the headquarters of his “Save the Okapis” club, for which the eleven-year-old urgently needs members and donations. When Binti suggests that she can set up a club vlog and make videos, Elias is thrilled and takes Binti to his home. Elias lives with his mother Christine after his father left the family. Soon Binti and Elias become close friends and Christine and Jovial get to know each other. The children feverishly work on the new vlog, but the clever girl secretly pursues yet another plan.
